District 7 covers the Bugis, Kampong Glam, and Rochor area — a dense urban zone with a mix of conservation shophouses, pre-war commercial buildings, and a few residential towers. Most aircon work in this district involves commercial or mixed-use spaces where systems have been retrofitted into buildings that predate modern air conditioning.

Shophouses along Arab Street and Haji Lane have limited external wall space for condenser mounting. Rooftop placements are common but add complexity to pipe runs and drainage routing.

Older commercial buildings in the Rochor corridor may have shared riser shafts with limited capacity. Adding or upgrading systems in these buildings often means competing for space with other tenants' units.

The dense urban fabric and narrow back lanes reduce natural airflow around outdoor units. Condensers in enclosed service yards or rear alleys run hotter than equivalent units with open-air placement.
