Aircon Relocation or Removal in Singapore

Moving a unit to a new position, removing it from a wall, or disposing of an old system entirely. We handle disconnection, rerouting, and recommissioning — or clean removal when the unit is not coming back.

How we approach these jobs

  • Site check before quoting

We assess the site before giving a number. Relocations, removals, and disposals all vary in scope and we do not quote based on assumptions.

  • Refrigerant handled properly

Whether the unit is being moved or removed, we recover refrigerant before opening the circuit. For relocations, the system is vacuumed and leak-tested before recommissioning.

  • Clean reinstatement

Old bracket holes, pipe exits, and trunking are patched or capped as part of the job. We confirm what reinstatement you need before starting.

When this page applies

This covers three situations: the unit needs to move, the unit needs to come off the wall, or the unit needs to go entirely.

  • Renovation changed the layout and the unit is now in the wrong position
  • Moving to a new home and want to bring an existing unit
  • Outdoor unit needs to move to a different wall or bracket position
  • Unit is no longer needed and should be removed and disposed of
  • Old system needs to come out before a new installation can go in
  • Landlord or tenant changeover — unit needs to be cleared from the property

How these jobs are handled

Whether it is a move, a removal, or a full disposal, the process starts with understanding the site and confirming the scope before any work begins.

  1. 1. Site check at new position

We check the new mounting location, pipe route options, drainage discharge point, and whether the existing pipework can be extended or needs to be replaced. This determines scope and cost before any work starts.

  2. 2. Safe disconnection

The unit is powered down and the refrigerant circuit is safely disconnected. Refrigerant is recovered where required before any pipework is opened.

  3. 3. New pipe runs and drainage

Pipes are rerouted or replaced for the new position. Drainage is replumbed to the correct slope at the new discharge point. We do not reuse pipe runs that cannot serve the new location properly.

  4. 4. Remount and reconnect

The unit is mounted at the new position, the refrigerant circuit is reconnected and leak-tested, and the system is vacuumed before startup.

  5. 5. Test run before leaving

The unit is run at the set temperature and checked for correct cooling, airflow, and drainage before the job is signed off.

Pricing

Each job is quoted after understanding the scope. Relocation, removal, and disposal all vary depending on site conditions.

  • Relocation quoted based on pipe run length, routing, and reinstatement
  • Removal and disposal quoted based on unit count, access, and reinstatement
  • Site assessment confirms scope before quoting
  • No work starts until the quote is agreed

Booking and visit timing

Relocation is scheduled after the site assessment. Duration depends on the distance between old and new positions and whether new pipe runs are needed.

  • Single-unit indoor relocation within the same wall typically takes half a day
  • Longer moves or outdoor unit repositioning may take a full day
  • Site assessment is a separate visit before the relocation date
  • We confirm timing when we assess the site

What relocation covers

A full relocation covers disconnection at the old location, new pipe runs to the new position, drainage replumbing, remounting, and a full recommissioning test.

  • Safe disconnection and refrigerant recovery at old position
  • New or extended pipe runs to new location
  • Drainage replumbing with correct slope
  • Indoor unit remounted at new position
  • Refrigerant circuit reconnected, leak-tested, and vacuumed
  • Full test run before leaving
  • Old bracket and pipe exits patched or capped

What removal and disposal covers

Removing a unit that is no longer needed, clearing old systems ahead of renovation, or disposing of a unit at end of life. We disconnect safely and leave the wall clean.

  • Safe electrical isolation and disconnect
  • Refrigerant recovery before opening the circuit
  • Indoor and outdoor unit removal
  • Pipe and trunking removal to agreed extent
  • Bracket holes and pipe exits patched or capped
  • Unit disposal can be arranged

What affects the scope

These are the factors we check on-site before quoting — whether the job is a relocation, removal, or disposal.

  • Distance from old to new position — longer moves need new pipe runs
  • Whether existing pipes can be extended or need replacing
  • Drainage discharge availability at the new location
  • Outdoor unit access — bracket type and wall condition
  • Reinstatement required at old position
  • Number of units to be removed or disposed of

When this is not the right starting point

If the unit has a fault — not cooling, leaking, or flashing an error — the fault should be investigated before moving or removing. Moving a faulty unit relocates the problem. Removing one skips the chance to fix it.

  • Unit not cooling before the move → repair first, then relocate
  • Water leaking from a drainage fault, not position → fix the fault first
  • Breaker tripping or error codes → diagnose before touching the circuit
  • Significant wear or age → worth assessing repair-vs-replace before moving
